Some maps also have track variations, though these are currently not available for racing. Silverstone was in the game for a while as well, but was removed after it was discovered that the trackbuilder had used stolen assets. A fictional street track named independence was also planned at some point, but got shelved. Circuit de la Sarthe, also known as Le Mans, also used to be in the game, but got removed when Fuji was added. Most tracks are made in roblox studio, although at least one (Tsukuba) was made using meshes in blender. Project Trackday currently has 7 different tracks in total: 1 fictional track and 6 tracks based on real life. Cars that aren't debranded are mostly from the early days of the game's existence, before it was owned by DevGem, and will eventually be remodeled. Some cars use their real life names while others use debranded names similar to the names in Midnight Racing: Tokyo. The game currently has 36 cars devided over 12 classes. The in-game store also features several pieces of clothing such as hoodies and a race suit. Instead, players can buy a certain amount of credits in the store. ![]() The game has several boosters available in the in-game store, these include XP boosters which will help the players earn XP and level up quicker. The second gamepass is the safety car gamepass, which includes 3 cars (with potentially a fourth one coming in the future) which offer a unique driving experience. The first being the donation gamepass, which costs 100 Robux and gives the player a little symbol in the playerlist, in the future this gamepass will get more features to it. ![]() Currently only GT4, GT3, GTE, GT1, and GT500 are available in race mode. Private server owners can choose the specifics, such as class, track and race length, for a race session in their private server. In race mode players gain the same amount of Credits/XP per lap completed as in practice mode, with an additional amount of XP/credits at the end based on their finishing position. People who didn't choose a car in time will have to watch the race from spectator mode. The race starts once the lights go green. Once everyone has chosen a car all the cars a lined up on the grid. After a given amount of time the game will teleport the players to the selected map, and the players can choose a car within the class. If the majority of the lobby doesn't like the combination they can vote to skip. In Race Mode players join together in a lobby where the game selects a class and a track to race on. It is possible to hold races, players can line up at the starting grid, and the starting lights can be turned on by typing /start in chat. Players can earn XP and credits by driving laps around tracks. In practice mode players can drive around freely. The game is also available on mobile, although that is still missing several features. The amount of XP and credits a player earns is based on how fast their laptime is, and if that laptime is valid or not. Once you're above the car level the car won't get cheaper anymore. The closer you get to the level of a car, the cheaper that car will become. XP is used to level up, credits are used to buy the cars. Players start out at level 1 with the Churrant Macaro GT4, and can unlock new cars by driving laps and earning XP and credits. The game contains over 35 cars in several different classes. Project Trackday is very similar to non-Roblox sim racing games such as Assetto Corsa, Gran Turismo and Project Cars.
